MIRROR & RE-FIGURING SERVICES

The thickness of the mirrors have a ration of 6 to 1 for diameters going up to 12". After that, thickness may vary from 1 7/8" to 2 1/8" on demand. A FigureXP report is also included with the finished mirror. The fabrication delay varies depending on diameter and the availability of the Pyrex blank or fused glass (sandwich mirror). It usually varies between 2 and 3 months for diameters up to 16 inches and up to 12 months for larger diameters.

Mirrors of 20" and up are also offered made out of fused glass to keep a ration of 6 to 1 while also keeping the weight reasonable, optimal rigidity and to improve the thermal stabilizing time. For more information, do not hesitate to communicate with me.

A surface quality of PTV Lambda1/8 along with a strehl of .97 or higher are guaranteed.

A 95% quartz protected coating is included.

The price for focal ratios of F/4 or lower must be submitted at the time of the order.

The prices mentioned bellow do not include shipping, for which a separate bill can be made on demand.

There is an extra 5% rebate for orders of 3 mirrors or more.

Mirrors of 32 inches and higher are only offered in fused glass.

Re-Figuring Service:
Telescopes Normand Fullum can also re-figure your current primary mirrorto the same standard as the mirrors we use in the telescopes that we make. The price of re-figuring includes the stripping of the old coating, re-polishing and figuring of the optical surface and a copy of the test results.
